Great Parndon Today
Great site by Don Aaron, good navigation, I'd guess at about a hundred photos from Great Parndon, with a map.
Church Photographs
Ian Rose began this site many years ago, he started with Harlow Churches and then expanded the area covered, the link above will take you to his home page where he links to the rest of the country, some of the links are dead, but with a bit of imagination you can still find most of the pages.

Out of all of the other about Harlow sites I think this one has the most informative photos, plus it has quite a bit of information, although it might be a little bit out of date.
Wartime Airfields near Harlow
Lots of photos of old airfields, you might ask what has old airfields to do with Harlow today, some of the airfields are impacting on life today in Harlow.
Matching Airfield has provided extra storage facilities for local companies for many years, plus research testing.
North Weald airfield provides one of the largest weekend markets in the South East, plus it still has an operational airfield.
Hunsdon airfield is currently an airstrip for Microlights.

The largest WW2 airfield is 9 miles away although it's not covered by the Wartime Airfields site;
Stansted Airport London's third Airport, aircraft fly over Harlow every day providing noise pollution and employment.
Stansted Airport started life in 1942 as a USAAF bomber base during world war two.
British Airports Authority bought it in the 1960's, they developed the terminal in 1969 and extended it in 1972.
In 1984 the government gave Stansted airport approval for expansion to accommodate a larger number of passengers, it is now Britain's 4th largest Airport.

Visit Harlow
A Harlow Council backed site, a few photos of Harlow in the gallery, loads of information though.

Google Photos of Harlow
MSN Photos of Harlow
Yahoo! photos of Harlow

All of the above search engines list loads of photos from Harlow, one of my favorites is the photo of the new cycle track (2007) with all of it's signs, over 100! Click Here talk about Health and safety madness, Essex County Council who were responsible have now removed many of the signs, though the sign posts still remain, providing exelent "fly posting" positions along the road.
In my opinion you would have to be mad to use the cycle track using their directions and layout .
A bit further along from the photo, on Elizabeth Way E.C.C. direct cyclists a curb stone away (about 5 inches) from on coming heavy goods vehicles with a strong cross wind blowing from the fields and golf corse pushing the cyclist even closer!
I suppose two wheeled thrill seekers might obey the county council directions, me, if I was that desperate, I'd go to Rye House Speedway about 3 miles away and see if they'd let me have a go.

My Home Town
This site has been around for many years, it is massive!
Think of a place you want to know about then look it up on this site.
A quote from the site "Websites featured on this site have been built and are run by local webmasters who live in their home town and have a wealth of local knowledge."
Pictures of England
Another large site with loads of photos, I found it a bit strange on the geography though, I looked at a neighbouring town page to find Harlow wasn't listed with any of our neighbours, only towns miles away!
